MAN BADLY INJURED
RESULT OF JEALOUSY
(Received Last Night, 10.15 o'clock.)
ADELAIDE, December 3. A loud explosion was heard in Flinders Street, and two men were seen running away from the scene. Frederick Keys was found with his hand blown off and his face injured. Tho two men subsequently visited the police station, and gave their names as Clarke and Cheape. They stated that Keys accused Cheape of familiarities with his wife, which was absolutely groundless. Keys was extremely: jealous, and after a little conversation, Keys remarked: "Now I will settle it." Ho then struck a match, hut becoming alarmed they fled, and had gone only a few yards when the explosion occurred. A parcel of dynamite was found near the scene of the explosion.
assisted after the explosion, Keys moaned, "They tried to murder me," but efforts to extract something further wero fruitless. Keys is in a critical state.
