/ PALMERSTOX STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph.—Social tc Age.) ' PALMERSTOX X., Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report at Palmerstou North on Thursday, the, 28th inst. ; as follow: Fair demand existed for all classes of stock, and a good clearance was effected at the following Quotations: Shorn ewes with lambs- (all counted) 10s 3d. and 7s fid, ..store- cows £3 lis to £3 17s Grlj fat cows £5 2s to £6 ss, .Yearling steers £2 12,s fid to £2 Its' weaners 15s 6d. LONDON WOOL SALES. / - The New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., and Reduced, have received tho following cablegram from their London house: "There was a full attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental buyers being keen and prices, as compared close of the preceding series, ruled in sellers' favour. The opening catalogues were./airlv representative. As compared with last sale's closing rates, prices are higher by about il to 10 per cent, for coarse srossbred and merino. • and by about. 5 per cent, for fine and medium crossbreds. America is operating."
