MT. LYELL MINE
HALF-YEARLY REPORT
(Received Last Night, 7.15 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, November 28.
The half-yearly report of the Mt. Lyell Mining Company shows that ;>. net profit of £106,7-19 was made, and a credit balance on tho profit and loss account of £550,563. The purchase of stock and property was completed at a cost of £18.176.
Referring to the North Lyell disaster, it was stated that estimate was possible of the loss sustained, as there was no insurance on the property whatever. The occurrence, which was regarded as an impossibility, was a very serious one for the company.

At the half-yearly meeting of the Broken Hill Mining Company, the report "stated that including a dividend of 2s payable next month, the company had paid out in dividends £l,280,000 sinco its commencement.
