The theme was off the beaten track of dramas, and held the. audience in close attention all through. Her Diary deals with the pathetic life story of a mother who had suffered | soino of the most trying hardships life on this earth can inflict on luckless .mortals. The poor woman has been | compelled to drink to the dregs of ! the cup of bitterness, and her story is told by her through pictures in j later life. The Judgment of Solomon ' was an artistic production of considerable merit. There were several excellent dramatic stories which were all loudly applauded. They were The Shrinking Rawhide, Honour Saved, and Crontan's Inheritance, ' Nick Winter's admirers were well pleased with his latest exploit, in which many exciting incidents result in the cap- j ture of a thieving bank manager. The j Australian Swimming School depicted I the care bestowed on the teaching of | swimming in the Commonwealth, and > several scenics added variety to the i list. Pond Life, Ha van si Harbour, and a trip on the River Tamar were ali interesting and beautiful.
