The Bulgars, after abandoning the Turkish advanced works, burnt the railway station at Chataldeja. All the surrounding villages aio now strongly entrenched on the high ground opposite the IHtrkish right. The Bulgarians' retirement had a magical effect in the Turk**, who passed from gloom to excessive optimism, which was possibly influenced by the Porte having refused the Bulgarian terms. The position of the Turks is being daily strengthened. Fresh troops are arriving, fresh entrenchments are being constructed, and there is a more plentiful supply of food, which is improving the morale of the forces.
The Turkish line.s at Chataldeja extend "for twenty-five miles. The extremities can- be held by a skeleton force, with the assistance of the natural barriers in Lakes Buyukchekmejo and Derkos. Twelve Greek warships have arrived Mityleiie. It is believed that !'• rear attack on the Dardanelles forts, supported by the Greek fleet, which is trying to force the Straits, is imminent.
Tho cannonade at Gliataklcja was j resumed late on Wednesday night, j and was audil)lo in tho city. Tjie Hamidich reports that she Inn been slightly damaged by torpedoes, ■ but has sunk two Bulgarian torpedoers. '

(Received November 22, 11 a.m.) LONDON, November PL Renter's Constantinople correspondent visited tho San Stefano cholera camp, seven miles from Constantinople, Soldiers on a railway embankment thirty feet high prevent -tho escapo of the inmates. There were appalling scenes within tho camp. Bodies thrown from the trains lay where they ,had fallen, some on top of tho embankment, while others had rolled half way down. More lay in heaps at the bottom. At one spot there were sixty dead and dying. They were huddled together, apparently for warmth. When a water-tank arrived and army bread was Ijeing distributed, some were able to drag themselves along, and secured food. Others, foodless, lay around a contaminated wed. and lowered long s>as'hes into the water, with which they moistened their mouths. Hundreds lie dead in ail directions, and thousands of the sick aro mostly without shelter. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent describes! the Square at Had em - lceui as resembling a flypaper covered with corpses and writhing bodies. Somo aro sitting or kneeling; others lio prone. Tho dead aro piled ii heaps in sonw places. Stretcherbearers are constantly bringing fresh victims from tho camps and forts. All the. tracks leading to tho impromptu morgue are dotted with bodies.
