ATHLETIC SPORTS MEETING.
MAXGATAINOKA CLUB
The fourteenth annual meeting of the Alangatoinoka Athletic Society, atliliace<T with the N.Z. Athletic Ijiii°!l« will be held on tho Domain, on Boxing Day. As in' previous vear.s the programme, *vh:.?h appears in this issue caters well for all classes of athletics and »«ry liberal prize money is offered, There are in .all i eight open' running events, covering distances from 75 yards to one milo. A feature of this vcors meeting will be the inclusion of piping and dancing events, and the attendance of the Wairarapa Pipe Bird. The field events are very .numerals, including novelty competitions lor young and old. As a railway t;me table is being arranged to suit visitors and competitors from north and south large entries are sure t-> he received. The handicapping of the athletic events will be in tho eapab'e hands of Mr W. Whyto, of Mastertsn. Entries for running events close with the secretary, Mr D. W. Wilton, at Pahiatua, on Satuixlay, December 7<h. All competitors in the events run under the N.Z. Athletic Union must obtain permits from Mr W. Gillespie, of Masterton, or the secretary of the Sports Club,
