RESULT OF A BALLOT, f MEN RETURNING TO WORK. SBy Teieyraph — Frets AMocia+ion.) REEFTON, Last Night. The ballot, re the agreement, referred to the members of the Inangahua Miners' Union, resulted in an m-cnvholmhg majority (258 to 103) in f'vour of ratifying the agreement. Only two places were against-the ptireenicMit—Big River and Waiutu. A good deal of opposition to the agreement was overcome at the end of the week. The Consolidated miners have b'vn getting ready to start work all the week. It is expected that' the crminre week will see a general resumption. Men are already flocking back to work from all round. Tho <reneral feeling is very hopeful. Reefton has stood the six months' trouble ("startinir o\\ 18th May and ending on 16th November) much better than was expected, but latterly the strain "•a'-, very heavv indeed. The general fxeliim among the men is that they are o-]nd'to «et back to work. They arc sick and tired of the trouble.
