I The weather was not favourable for the continuation of the Thursday cricket matches, but as the rain held off towards the evening, the match between the Athletic and Hockey Clubs was continued. The pitch was not good, bnt <w'e or two good scores were put, up. Perrin, for Athletic, played -a fine second innings, carrying hi? bat for : nicely compiled 60 runs. 11l the first innings of the Hockey team A. Dixon, 49/ and G. Scrimgeour, 33, were the highest scorers. At fi.3o the wickets wore drawn with tJie Hockeyites one inning to play, which will be continued next week.
