MASIERVQN picture company A l.irgo attendance greeted the chango of programme at the Town Hall last -oveiling, wihen one of the best programmes ever put before a Masterton audiouco was tcreonea. The management aro to bo congratulated on the fine assortment of pictures which they screen. "Police Sergeant" is a very powerful drama by the Cinea Company. Another fine drama is "Detective Dorothy" showing how a little girl brings a criminal to justice. A new film company by the name of Royal is seen to advantage in "Laplander's Bride," a powerful drama. The scenes are in Lapland, and some of the actors are Laps. "The Registered Letter," Lux drama, "The Playwright," a Wild West drama, are exceptional films. "Oyster Industry," by Lubin, is a good educational film. "Cotton industry' ' is another fine educational film by the Gauniont Co. The comic side of the programme is well provided for iu "When Jones Lost His Latch Key," "Grandfather's Old Boots." and "The Complicated Campaign" comedy go to mako up a fine programme. The usual matinee will take place on Saturday, when the children are assured of a special treat.
