THE BALKAN WAR.
The report that is published this morning, that the Porte has applied direct to Bulgaria for :.n armistice, is an indication that the Turks have had enough, and are prepared to come to terms. The statement that 'Austria has formulated demands upon Servia, winch she intends pressing, is somewhat disconcerting, as it shows clearly that the process of dividing tho spoil will be attondod with considerable peril to the nations. Interest in the future will not bo centred so much in the progress of hostilities, as in the diplomacy of the Great Powers, Whether this will be sufficiently brilliant to satisfy Austria on the one hand, and "Russia on the other, remains to be seen. Tho outlook is bv no means reassuring.
