SUPPLY OF TEACHERS
(Ly Telcorann —i'ress Association.) TIMARU, Last Night. For a long time past there, has been a shortage of toiebers in South Canterbury, but the position has 'apparently changed now. At- a mooting of the Education Board yesterday, 23 applications were received for the position of headmaster of a country school, mid 14 for another school. The Board departed from its past ens, torn of .sending several names on to the school committc, and sent only one name in each case. 'Hie Board unanimously decided to co-operate with other boards in'the endeavour to induce teachers to swk change* less frequently.
