QUESTION OF CONTROL. (Received Last Night 11.5 o'clock) MELBOURNE, November 11. Jacob Watriana, who claims to be King .of the' Loyalty Islands, in an interview with a Federal Minister, stated. that the Islanders desired to place the group under the control of the Commonwealth. If they 'were not taken over by Australia they would soon be in the possession of the Japanese. There were, lie said, about six thousand Japanese 011 the islands many of whom were soldiers aiul spies, who were at present .working in tho nickel mines. The Minister promised that Cabinet would give the matter consideration.
