LOYAL MASTIiJiTON XODfi* A special meeting of the afco?# Lodge was held last night, Bro J. Stuart, N.G., in the chair. The"district officers, D.D.G.M. Bro Boalito and P.C.S. Bro C. E. Godber present. Bro Boake gave a lengthy ad-dres# on the National Insurance Sehem® ef tho Old Land, going into details regarding the attitude taken up by ihft Manchester Unity in England towards the scheme. He also referred to tho new scheme brought down by tho Manchester Unity re incraasetl' benefits 2nd greater insurance. Bro C. E. Godber, P.C.8.,. "spolse.ajk length of tho district valuation report. He was pleased to state that only one lodge in the district showed a deficiency, and the Loyal Ma starfco* Lodge held a surplus of £024. Br# Godber ' spoke strongly in favour »f consolidation re the sick and funeral fund. Should this consolidation com into force it will mean that members will benefit considerably. The wftol© question will come up at the next district meeting. One new member was initiated hri» the order, Bro 0. E. Godber acfing as lecture master. 7 A hearty vote of thanks was accorded tho district officers and th'» Lodge then closed. Members an# visiting members subsequently tools part in a sumptuous supper antl 'social evening. Messrs Mexted, Kingston, Wjstseit, Weleb, Ball, and O'Began rendered songs and solos. Several recrfcationm wero given, and a most enjoyable evening was spent, after which tho visiting members and officers were given a hearty send-off.
