UNITED LABOR PARTY
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE COUNCIL. (l)u Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. A meeting of tho Dominion Executive Council of the United Labour Party was held to-day, tho president (Hon J. T. Paul) presiding.. It was decided to, prepare and issue a circular on the question of Stato firo insurance to all unions. Preliminary arrangements were made for the coming municipal campaign and election*, Tho Council placed on record its very high appreciation of tho work of the Labour members of both Houses during the session. In view of certain published statements it was resolved, ''That no person is authorised to act in the capacity of organiser for the party, except ho is a member of this Council, or is appointed by, and acts under the direction of the National Organiser, as tho agent of this party. MiThomas Walsh, of Auckland, has never been so appointed, and does not occupy any such position." It was also agreed, "That tho Dominion Executive Council of the United Labour Party definitely affirms, that neither the Voice of Labour (Auckland) nor any other paper in Now Zealand has any authority to speak editorially on behalf of this party, in matters relating to the present industrial tnrables at Waihi, or on any i other questions, and that all official declarations and announcements of I the party are now through the columns of those papers, which have granted space to tho party, and are published in all cases under the party's official heading." A Inrge amount of routine business was transacted, and the reports show that considerable accessions of strength have recently been gained.
