NOVICE HANDICAP

Wretched weather conditions did not prevent eleven members of the Masterton Harrier Club from turning <yut on the Park Oval hi,st evening to' ■compete in the final run of the season, which took the form of a novice handicap, run over a distance' of 24 milea. The race was one of the most exciting and keenly contested ' events yet held by the Club, the winner, L. Cook, finishing half a yard in front I of G.
