STOCK SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. and Reduced, report having held their weekly sdc in the Mangahao yards yesterday, the yarding consisting of cattle only, aiVcl there was only a medium attend-{ anco cf farmers and buyers. .Bidding; however, was spirited, and resulted in total clearance at the following rates : , Heifers at drop to £8 2s. lato heifers ! £4 10s to £4 los, yearling heifers to £4 13s, bulls £4 to £5. Messrs James Macintosh and Co. j report having held their usual weekly ] salo in their Masterton (AVaipoua) sale j yards on Wednesday. November 6th, ; when they offered a yarding ■well above advertised numbers which wo aro pleased to report were ..ill sold well above vendors' ideas cf value. The main entry, on account of 11. I Douglas, wore well competed -for, and were sold at the following prices: 2, 4 and 6-th wethers 22s Gd and woolly hoggets 17s Gd, the rest of the entry were well competed for, .and brought the following prices: S/njiall woolly hoggets 13s Hd to 15s Gd,' 4 and 6-th wethers (backward condition) 17s lid, ewes and Jambs 19s 7d ; empty owes 10s JOd to 14s '7d, 18-mojiths .steers £3 10s, yearlingheifers £3 7s to £3 12s Gd, forward j cows £1 los to £5 10s, 2-vr steers to £4.
