ißy Telegraph — Prm A&scvtatiori.). WELLINGTON, Last Night. ; At tho Supreme Court to-day William Knox, a tailor, was charged with! performing an illegal operation. Ho pleaded not guilty, and was defended by Mr T. M. Wilford (instructed by Messrs Fitzgibbon and Perry), and with him Mr W. Perry. Mr H. H. Ostler was Crown Prosecutor., Pis Honor, the Chief Justice, ordered the Court to be cleared during the hearing, and forbade the publication of evidence. The jury failed to agree and a new trial will take place next Monday.
