MASTERTON HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of - M»sterton Hospital Committee. was : held in the Board's offices, Diiori Street, yesterday. There were present Messrs W. Fisher (chairman) ,J. 0. Ewington. and D. J. Cameron. The of the' last ordinary meeting and those of a special meeting held on October 15th were read and confirmed. The treasurer reported a credit bai-anee-at date.of l&s 7d. .Salaries a'rid wages for the past month amounting to £Bl and accounts for supplies in respect of the same period totalling ; £.164 ,17 s 4d '.wore .passed for payment." ■ The hosspita.l tliary showed the return of patients for October to be as follows: In hospital 30th Sept. 24; admitted since 19; discharged 19; died 2; in hospital 81st October 22. Correspondence was dealt with as follows: From Mi- '<*. 4 G. Jackson, of Kketahuna, expressing his thanks and appreciation of the care and received by his wife whilst an inmates of the institution.—Received. From county clerk re hospital committee's request for a lamp to hfe placed at corner of the Te Ore Ore andT Hospital Roads.—lt- was resolved iiliati the Council 'he asked to have tßft lamp erected at ft point to' be selected bv Mr Cameron nearer to. the Hospital entrance. I Sister Allan, senior sister on thft ! nursing staff, wrote tendering her re- ■ signation and thanking the commffetee for many kindnesses received during her four and a half years' congestion with th« institution. It was resolved that Sister ABan*» resignation be accepted, and that ate be given a testimonial in recognition, of her services to the hospital. Mi- Fisher was appointed visiting member for the ensuing month, na'd the meeting tormimted.
