NEW ZEALAND'S FOR£C:.ST. j (By Telejpapb—Prwa A»«»*tiaa.) : WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. 0; Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— Changeable weather prevailed on Saturday and Sunday, but rain foil in many parts on Sunday night, when a cyclonic system developed, and is now centred southwards of Cook Strait. Strong westerlies prevailed in the north, and easterlies in the south. The present indications are for cloudy and misty weather with heavy rain in parts, -with rivers rising. Snow is probable on the higher levels in the south. High westerly winds are probable north wurds of Farewell Spit, and Ca.stlepoint, and southerlies and south-easterlies elsewhere. The barometer is due to rise temporarily in the .southern- districts, but fall again shortry.
