INTERRUPTING CADET PARADES
FINES IMPOSED. (By Teityr^ph — tr<M:A*p**-ntiak.) HAMILTON, Last Night, Before Mr Loughnan. S.M., at Ekinvilton to-day j John Christian Emersori and -Arthur Raynor Lowe (Cadets) wore charged with interrupting parades of Senior Cadets by repeatedly bumping the Cadets on either side of them, • ' Sergeant-Major West, who prosecuted, .said that .Eraorson wa& .yory troublesome on •that particular "night by,bumping the Cadets. He was warned as to liis behaviour hut continued to "bump." • He was ordered to fall | out, and was told he would be proceeded against. Accused pleaded guilty and wag fined 10s and 7s costs. Lowe also pleaded guilty, and was fined a sii»iia,r ! amount. A charge of, interrupting a parade of Sonior Cadets by driving a motor «»r into tne Horse .Bazaar,, where theCadets were at drill, was brought against Leslie James Robert Guro«TU, also a Cadet. ! Major West said that the defendant had been warned previously, .and on this particular night he drove into tbe Bazaar at from 10 to 15 miles:an .hour, running the car so close to the coro:pany that Major West had hastily to remove Himself to prevent an accident. The act was wilful and wanton. Donald Gerald Dixon, 2nd lieutenant of the 'stfh Company, corroborate! the previous witness's evidence, adding that Gurnell need not bave driven among the Cadets at all. A fine of 10s and costs was imposed. His Worship remarking that there appeared to be an impression abroad amongst certain sections that they coukl do anything they liked to interfere with drills. He wished to correct this impression. Further offenders would be dealt with much more scxerely.
