METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. Tho annual mooting in connection with the Masterton Methodist Sunday School Anniversary was held last evening, and there was, d-espite the •unfavourable- weather, a very large attendance. Mr G. E. Daniell ('superintendent of the school) occupied tlio chair, and in a very interesting address reviewed the year's work, and congraulated the. officers on the high enthusiasm shown. The secretary (Mr R. J. Mclver) read the annual report, which showed the number on the school roll to bo 277—a nett increase of 2-8 for the year The- report was adopted. The treasurer's report showed the income for the year to be £76 13s 2d, and tho expenditure £7l 5s 9d, leaving a. credit balance of £5 7s 3d. During the evening the Rev. T. T. Thomas gave an interesting address, and congratulated tho school on its successful anniversary. Special hymns were sung by the children, and there was also a good programme of recitations. From, all points-of view.the. anniversary services have been most successful. The collections amounted to £2l ss. The prizes won by the scholars at tho recent Sunday School Union examinations were presented during the evening.
