WAIRARAPA PRESBYTERY
MEETING IN MASTERTON. A meeting of the Wairarapa Presbytery was held in Knox. Hall, Masterton, yesterday. The Rev J. K. Stow©ll (Moderator) presided. A commis-' sion from the Christolilirch; Presbytery, accompanying a call from tho. "ElemLngton congregation .to the Rev J. C. Mills, of Pnhiatua, was received. Commissioners representing the TCtiristehurch Presbytery and Pahiatua congregation having been heard,* the call was sustained, and placed in the Ibands of the Rev A. T. Thompson, on behalf. of the Rev J. C. Mill's, who waa absent through Hlne.sss, but who had intimated that he would Accept tho call if placed in his hands. The Her U. K. Stowell was appointed moderator of the vacant charge, the, pastoral tie being dissolved as from the 24ih. inst.
It wag agreed to recommend to the 'Church Extension Committee that tho grants for the ensuing year for Eketahuna be £3O, and for Pongaroa '£2s.
