success. Enormous entries have been received in Germany for their leading Road ■Events. Pui'thor developments have occurred in connection with the Dun lop Gold Cup Road Race, recently held from Camperdown to Melbourne. K. S. Perrett, the. winner of this event, was subsequently disqualified on account of receiving outsidepace, and tho race awarded to the second man, E. Barry. Perrett appealed to the Victorian Road Racing Board against tho decision, of the referee, but his appeal was dismissed. The steam engine is worse in this respect than the internal combustion engine.
