With, the arrival of the Lusitunia at Liverpool came the news of the successful inauguration of tJlo iirst serious attempt to establish a twelve to sixteen page ocean daily newspaper — edited, printed, and published on the high seas. '.l'ho editor of our newest contemporary, which is called tho Cunard Daily Bulletin, gave some interesting details of his work. "Wo published every week-day we were afloat from tho time we left Queeustown, and our circulation averaged 1,000 foopies a day. In addition to the Lusitania the following Cunarders also publish the Bulletin daily while at sea: —Mauretania, Campania, Caronia, ('armania, Franconia, and Laeonia. "In each of these vessels," continued the admiral-editor," is a sub-editor, who is instructed by wireless, when necessary, how to arrange his news. News passed on from tho editor's ship would take the shape, for example, 01 a message like this: 'General .Ikxith dead, column article, best position, four headlines.' The news of the general's death was received in mid-At-lantic within an hour of its becoming known in London, and a column report appeared in the different editions of the Bulletin." Local news is occasionally given—for example, a birth in the steerage. Articles and fiction by well-known contributors and authors are a feature, as w\'! as an illustrated magazine pag".
