WELLINGTON, Last Night. In the House of ltcpresentativcs today, the Hon A. L. Herdman, replying to Mr J. H. Escott, member for I'ahiatua, said that in accordance with a promise made, the Government will arrange. to: hold an inquiry into tho affairs of the Public Trust Office as soon as the session is over.
