The Committee had, therefore, deferred reporting on the Commissioner's report until next session, „
Several Opposition members objected to the postponmen't of' consideration of the Commission's re--port. i The Minister said there were some questions, in the report which required very i considerable attention, ; and' coul dnot possibly be. dealt.with I this session. A great ""number of the 7 recommendations of the Commission ha dalready been put into operation. The new organisation was now under way, an dbefore.long would be in full swing. Members know that, an' Education Bill was to be brought down this session, when a number of other important matters would be provided for. ■■ Attention, would' "be paid' to pTiysk eal training, and-to .-the training of girls to fit. them for. their duties when they reached womanhood. He was about to appointd five lady inspectors and five men, for that purpose. The reorganisation of the Junior Cadets was already in operation, and he in- ' tended! to submit the syllabus to. . a Conference of inspectors in the New Year.
