A TOTAL WRECK

Advice was. received in Wellington to-day that ; the South Taranaki Shipping Company's steamer Hawera, 171 tons', which went ashore near Patea on Saturday morning, is a total wreck. Her boiler and engines will be removed, biit her hull is said to be damaged beyond repair. Some of her cargo is floating up the Patea River..
