Mcßride (Premier of British Columbia), in an interview, said that" across the Pacific great peoples were awakening to new life. Perhaps in another decade China and Japan would have marshalled - their forces in •order to threaten Canada's Pacific possessions. It was time Canada awoke to her .peril and formed a regular Canadian army and navy —an army andnavy to none.
