At a conference of temperance workers to-day, in which Tiniaru, Temuka, and, \V aimate electorates were represented, it was decided) to recommend tho electorate leagues to appoint a council for South Canterbury, and an organiser for the whole district. It is probable that tho recommendations will be adopted. \
