The barometer has had n rising tendency. Present indications are for south t-o .south-easterly lu owes, witil cool itrul changeable weather, showery at times, es-peciall on the eastern coast northward of CankM*bury, hut a temporary improvement may be expected soon. The barometer will probably rise every whore, but a westerly low pressure area is due to pass in the south a-bout Friday night or Saturday morning.
