WAIRARAPA SHOW.
THE OPENING DAY. The thirty-fifth show of the Wairarapa and) Bast Coast P. and A. Society opens, at Carterton to-day. At? the time of writing, the meteorological conditions are by .no means favourable, but it is satisfactory to note that the Rev. IX C. Bates predicts a change for the better. The whole of the arrangements tor the show havo been carried out in a most complete manner, and the grounds this monv ing will present a busy sight. Thf> judging of live stock will be completed early in the afternoon. Several competitions will also be got_off. In the evening, judges and visiting exhibitors will be efitertained at a smoke concert. Special train services liavo been provided- for "People's Day, and should the weather be at all favourable the attendances will bo very large.
