A MAN MISSING
FROM PAHiTATUA. (B ■ Telegraph—Tress Association.) PAHJATUA, Last Night. Some anxiety lias been caused in Pahiatua during the past ov?r the mysterious disappearance of Mr F. Marriott, a well-km wn local hairdresser, and a, married man. He left' his home ine Wakeman Street on tlie evening of Synday week, and has not been heard of since, though inquiries have been instituted. Marriott, who is a well-known "sport," is secretary j of the Bush Boxing Association, and also a member of the committee of the Honorary Territorials. An overcoat and cap, found on the bank of the river at Mangatainoka by an angler last week, have been handed over to tho police. The clothing is believed to have belonged to Marriott. The care of Marriott's wife and family has been taken in hand by several local residentsfi who have subscribed money on the family's behalf.
