FEDERATION OF LABOUR
DEMONSTRATIONS IN WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON. Last-Night. The Federation of Labour held a demonstration in Post Office Square, Wellington, yesterday afternoon. There-was an attendance of over 1000. The speakers were Messrs R. Semple, Howard. W. Richards, P. C. Webb audi L. Glover. The following motion was carried: "Tlrrt this 'mass ing of Wellington _ workers congratulates the latest batch of Waihi strikers who have gone to gaol .for a principle, and calls upon-all Unionists to rise to demand the release of Unionist prisoners. 1 ' A similar demonstration was held this aft-prnoon, but was not so well attended.
