Dixon's loft provided the first and only birds home in the day, two arriving together at -<.34 p.m., having taken II hours 23 minutes to fly the distance. The performance of these two birds in reaching home on the d.iy of liberation, when nineteen other well-tried performers failed, .stamps ' them as homers of more than ordinary merit, and reflects credit on Mr Dixon's management of his loft. The official results is as follows: Mr .1, Dixon's blue hen Goldfinch, 11 hours 23 min. MrsJ. Dixon's blue Ch. hen Victory, 11 hours 23-Jmin. The time limit does not expire "-until -1.23 p.m. to-day, and the remaining positions will probably be filled this morning. 57r J.
