Bates, of the Meteo- 1 rologicttt Office, this evening issued th© following report:— Southerly winds have decreased, and northerlies have already sprung; up in many parts of the country,, The barometer has fallen everywhere, ] Rain has fallen in many parts of the j Dominion. The temperatures uro J 'milder, and fair to cloudy weather now predominates. Present indications are for increasing haze and cloudiness, with rain following generally. Freshening northerly winds probable generally, with a falling barometer everywhere for a westerly low rpessure area, due to pass in the south about Monday.
