MASTERTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

MEETING. OF. COUNCIL. "The monthly meeting of the Council • of the Masterton Chamber Commerce was held on Friday afternoon, there being present Messrs C. E. Daniell (president), J. Brown, P. M. Graham, A. Henderson, J. T. Spain, G. C. Summerell, R. Brown, and *>'■ W. Sellar. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs Chennells, Keith, Logan and Waddington. The treasurer reported'a credit balance at date of £23 8s Bd. ~Mr G. R. Sykes, M.P., forwarded a communication from the Minister of Railways, stating that mail, .trains would stop at Kopuaranga, and Mangam aire when required to put down and take up passengers. Mr C. C. Jackson, of Kopuaranga, wrote, thanking the Chamber for'its efforts in securing an improvement of the railway service. ■
