NEW ZEALAMC'S FOR£CAST. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. \ The Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Metoo- I rological Office, thiß evening issued ] the following report:— Unsettled and gloomy weather has 'prevailed, with rain in most parts, and some heavy falls of snow in the south. The barometer has risen in j the south, with south-easterly winds strong to Rale, but no northerlies have prevailed in the Xcrth Island. Present indication arc for cloudy and misty weather, wiht rain in most parts. Strong variable winds will probably be experienced, with northerly winds predominating, after about 24 hours, easterly to southerly winds decreasing meanwhile. The barometer is unsteady, and will bo rising for a short time in the south and falling | temporarily in the north.
