A number of competitions were dso held, and attracted large onirics.. A feature- of the sale was the ■xcellcnt exhibits of cooking, for vbich there were competitions for ulults and juveniles. The success of the function was nainly tljo result of the excellent ,vork done by the president, Miss Ro>erts, and the secretary, Mrs H. Daniel!, sponge sandwich, Mrs McLean 1, Mrs Sloeiwin 2; plain scones. Mrs Miller 1; date scones, M'rs Sleeman 1, Mrs Iveson 2; Cocoanut ice, Mrs N. Miller 1, Mrs Jarrett 2 ; Turkish delight, .Mrs Peers 1; almond toffee, Miss E. Church 1; junior, sponge sandwich, Edna Boyce 1, 'Dors Dixon 2; sconer,, Esmo Pethrick 1. Irall Mali:by 2. Baby competition. Car!. Knowles and Dash; general stall, Mesdames Coratline, Parton, Threadwell, .Price, TempTe and Judd, and Miss Roberts; sweets and dolls, Miss Church and class; Christmas tree, Mr Z. M. Hoar. Mrs Aloa Bawke, Slisses Murray and Dixon; refreshments, Miss Jackson and ladies of the Young Women's Bible Class; bran tub and children's stalls, Siiss Elliott and class. During the evening a promenade concert was held, and was, greatly enjoyed by those present. • Music was supplied by Sir Clougb.
