CRICKET
A THURSDAY ASSOCIATION. A meeting of 'delegates represent-: ing the Carterton Amateur : Athletic and Hockey Cricket Clubs was held in the old gymnasium, Dixon Street, last evening, there being a full attendance. Mr E. Collinge, convener of the meeting, was unanimously elected to the chair. It was decided to form a Thursday Cricket Association to be. called the Wairarap.i Thursday' Cricket Association. Officers for the ensuing year were elected, and' a committee consisting of Messrs Colilnge, Braflburv, and Rippon was elected to draw up rules to present to the next meeting of delegates to be held on Thursday, October fiOth. ScratclMiiatches were arranged to be played as follows .'—Carterton A y. Hockey C.C. at Masterton, and Carterton B v. Amateur Athletics at Carterton.
