THIRTY-FOUR SURVIVORS RESCUED FORTY-ONE KNOWN TO BE DEAD (Received Last Night, 9.40 o'clock.) HOBART, October 16. Fourteen of the survivors have been •brought to the surface. Six bodies were discovered at the 850 feet level. They were standing eroct round an air-drill, as if endeavouring to utilise it for outlining air. It is reported that altogether 1 twenty-four dead have so far boon found.
