SHOT IN THE BREAST
ADDRESSES A MEETING AFTER BEING WOUNDED. THE ASSAILANT ESCAPES. (Reeeiv-ed Last Night, 8 o'clock.) STEW YORK, October 15. Mr Theodore Roosevelt was wounded in the breast. The shot was fired at him outside his hotel, when he was On route to deliver a political address at Milwaukee. When in the auditorium, he refused to allow the doctors to examine him. Ho spoke to a huge meeting, with the bullet still in his body.. Towards the end of his address became weak from loss of blood, and was removed to his hotel. His assailant disappeared.
