gymnastic? display. The physical culture and gymnastic display in connection with the Master ton Y.M.C.A. was witnessed hy a very large nudience in the Town Hall last evening. Soni-e ninety performers took part, and gave a display which reflected the utmost credit upon the physical director and instructor (Mr R. 0. Jarrett). The well developed Forms of the whole of the performers were seen to advantage in the various exercises gone through. The tableaux, marches, exercises and pyramids hy the ladies, men, girls, and hoys, were enthusiastically applauded. During ail interval Mr John Hunter, president of the Association, presented the prizes to the winners ol the physical culture chaumionshins, who also ffavft exhibitions of musclenosing, skipping ;md hand hall. Mr Hunter thanked those presen-ft for their generous support, and said he hoped the people of Masterton would continue to give their whole-hearted support in the future. The piano used was kintllv lent hv Messrs MciDeocl and Young.
