Bates, of the .Meteo- j rologicai Office, this ovening issued the following report:— Fair to cloudy weather, v.'ith rain in some parts, have beo:i reported to-day. The barometer has risen in the south » ■and •.if I lon in the north, and the winds ; •have l)oon variable. I'reso.it indications arc for stormy 1 weather shortly, especially on the West Coast southward of Ka\vh;:i, and over the South Island. Northerly winds, -increasing strong to gale, warm :nd humid conditions, with rain folioiving. The barometer is likely to fall very low in the south. A westerly storm area is d>ue to pass in the south about Sunday night or Sunday morning. '
