SCHOOL COMMITTEE
MONTHLY MEETING. Tte monthly meeting of the Masterton District High School Committee was held last evening, there being present Messrs R. Brown (Chairman). D. Threadwell, J. Shaekleton, W. Gouilay, M. L. Falconer, A. Chapman and W. Kemp. The treasurer's report showing a credit balance of £9 7s 2d was read and adopted. A communication was read from the Wellington Education Board thanking the Committee, headmaster and staff of the Masterton school for the assistance given during the recent course of agrciultuial instructions held in the school. The report showed that excellent work had been done during the holding of the class. A letter was received from the secretary of tho Masterton Agricultural High School Establishment Association icknowlodging informa'cion regarding scholars attending the school who have gained proficiency certificates. It was decided that the Masterton Borough Council be approached and asked to present to Masterton School Library any suitable books, which may not be found to bo required in the Muincipal Library. Accounts amounting to £l9 16s were passed for payment.
