A MOTION OF CENSURE. TO BE MOVED BY NAHM'S M L'ME Ell, i[By Telegram—* ress Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. In the House of Representatives this afternoon, Mr J. Vigor Brown, member for Napier, gave notice to move a motion, censuring the Government for ?ts action in discharging co-operativo workers from tho Napier railwrv works. Replying to Mr Poland, who asked if tho Government had ceased work on the Wailri-Tauranga railway in order that tho men employed there might assist the Waihi Gold-mining Company, the Hon. W. Fraser said 1' "' ild give tho statement an emphatic denial. He stated, that the Public Works Statement would be brought down next week. Mr R. McKenzie said ho lioped the Government would treat Mr Brown's motion as a want-of-confidence motion, so that all members could air their grievances in connection with the stoppage of public works nil over the Dominion. In his own district a number of men had been put off the railway works. The Hon. W. F. Ma&sey replied that ho would treat the motion as a want of confidence motion, if he had the assurance that Mr Brown had consulted tho Lender of the Opposition before moving it.
