MR. A. W. HOGG.
The testimonial presented Mr A. W. Hogg on Wednesday evening was but a meagre expression of the appreciation of 'the electors of .Masterton of the numerous services rendered by the ex-member during the long period he represented this electorate in Parliament. The expression, however, was spontaneous and. sincere, jukl will be valued the more on this account. It is graltifying to know that Mr Hogg's health is completely restored, and he retains much of the mental vigour which has characterised him since his entry into Parlament. His future intentions ,so far as politics are concerned, have not yet been disclosed. It is tolerably certain, however, that he will he a candidate for one or other seat in the Labour in-
terest iit next etc-otion. As -Vfasterto.i is not, cmd never can be, a Labour constituency, bo will probably bo well advised in .soaking the suifrages of another electorate.
