LAND HUNGER

DARGAYfLLE, Last Night, The intensity of the prevailing earth hunger was again demonstrated to-day at a land ballot at Waikino, near Dargnville, on the optional system for five sections of first-class and two sections of second-class land, the total area being 2469 acres. There were 607 applications from 314 individual applicants, 290 of whom arc residents of North Auckland. The .successful applicants are all residents of this -district.
