NEW ZEALAND'S FORECAST. (By Telegraph—Press A's&ocrintion.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rov. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— The winds have backed from the southwest to westerly and northerly in most parts of the country, the barometer rising during the night but falling everywhere; to-day. Heavy showers and squally weather wore experienced during Tuesday night, but fair weather has prevailed to-day. Present 'indications are for strong westerly winds generally. Rain is probable on the West Coast and southernmost parts of' the South Island, and fair to cloudy, somewhat squally a;itl changeable weather else, where..
