"THE WHITE PLAGUE."
The recommendations of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board for dealing with the dreaded "white plague" of consumption are of a very comprehensive character, aud although not all practicable, they will in the main commend themselves to the hospital and charitable institutions of the Dominion. With the exception of cancel - , there is probably no disease which claims a greater .number of victims in New Zealand than tuberculosis. The aim of the Wellington Hospital Board is to catch the disease in its incipient stage, and to take effective measures to prevent its spreading. The Government will,, .no doubt, co-operate with the Hospital Boards in coping with a plague which is a menace to the whole community;
