TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND'S FORECAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the fo'Jowing report:— A westerly squall area pissed in the south on Monday night, with strong northerly and westerly winds. The barometer has been very unsteady and rain has fallen on the West Coast and in the southernmost districts, and fair to cloudy weather has been experienced generally. Present indications are for strong westerly winds, with a southerly tendency for a short time, but a temporary rise in the barometric pressure will probably precede a further fall in the south, when winds a-e likely to back ag'in and' freshen considerably. Cool and changeable weather is probable generally, showery and squally in parts, especially cv> the West Coast and southernmost districts.
